I am honored to talk to you about one of the best chefs I have ever encountered in my life, and I have came across a few chefs in my day..

 I met this Chef through a mutual family friend, and let's just say …

 I am soooo glad I DID!!

I give you Chef Jennifer Mabon

Let me tell you a little bit abut her..

Chef Jennifer started culinary school back in 2002, and did a year and a half of studying..

She put school on pause, but has not stop cooking for over  the last 15 years.. 

She has opened up for restaurants such as Four Winds Casino, Blue Chip Casino, HorseShoe Casino, Long Horn Steak House in Merrillville, In and Belllagino's Italian and Greek restaurant in Northwest Indiana

Chef Jennifer knew she wanted to be  a chef every since she was a little girl, playing in the backyard making mud pies and pretending to make greens out of grass.. Every since then, her goals have been trying to make her Chef dreams come true.

Cooking for Chef Jennifer is the driving force behind her motivation.. A source of energy that comes out in the most delicious pieces of art on a plate, that I personally have seen with my very own eyes..

When Chef Jennifer taps in to her gift while in the kitchen, she does not like being disturbed, so she can  focus on the WILL on her life that the MOST HIGH  has bestowed upon her.

Chef Jennifer inherited a gift pass down from generation to generation which she plans on keeping it intact. Cooking  for Chef Jennifer was a saving grace for her, and calmed many of storms, which has got her to where she is today..

 In the next 5 years Chef Jennifer plans to have a very successful restaurant , and with her specialty genre of  Traditional African American Soul Food, I can assure you personally, Chef Jennifer will be more successful, then I think she even knows..

How do I know this you ask?.. Well I had the pleasure to sit down with Chef Jennifer  and she served me one of the most delicious meals I have ever been served on a plate..

I completely understand why she does not like to be disturbed when she cooks.. Her food touches  your soul in such a way, it's unexplainable!

If I had to describe PICASSO in the form of a dish.. this would be it..

 Poulet Beurre Citron Delice

Fancy right? ..LOL

Yes, it taste as fancy as it sounds..

Pretty much this PICASSO of a dish consist of 

Butter Lemon Chicken

Asparagus

Portobello Mushrooms

Brussels Sprouts

all on the SMOOTHEST bed of mash potatoes I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!

I would honestly, HAPPLIY PAY $30+ for this dish at any high end restaurant !

I felt the love in her heart that she put into making this dish..

My expectations for her were high anyway from all the good things I have heard about her, but my gosh when I started to eat this piece of artistry on a plate,she surpassed all of what I assumed..

As you can see, everything is fresh not processed.. All made from scratch, with her bare hands.

That is what's most important when it comes to cooking.. The fresher the food, the better it taste, and how much healthier it is for you..

That is what I love about Chef Jennifer the most, she is using old school ways of cooking, through the legacy she was taught, and plans on keeping this way of survival alive! 

Chef Jennifer is a gem that will keep on shinning for years to come..

Yes, She is open for anything from private chef work to catering ..

She has catered as small as 75 and as big as 250..

This universal chef can do it all!
